CNAME Records in Cloud Hosting
In case you have a cloud hosting plan through our company and you wish to set up a CNAME record, it'll take you a few clicks to get it done. You can access the DNS records for all domain addresses and subdomains hosted within your account via the Hepsia CP that comes with each and every plan and adding a new record is as easy as clicking on a button, selecting the type, which is CNAME in this case, inputting the actual record value and saving the modification. If you've never added this kind of record before, you will find a Help section with a detailed video tutorial that you can watch, or you can just contact us and we will help you with this task. If you have set up a site via another provider, you want to use a private URL for your webmail or you want to designate a subdomain to be used with the services of a different provider, for instance Google Apps, all it takes is setting up a CNAME record with a couple of clicks within your Control Panel.
CNAME Records in Semi-dedicated Servers
The Hepsia hosting CP, which comes with every single one of our semi-dedicated server accounts, will allow you to set up a CNAME record easily. When you want to create a private URL for your e-mails, to point a domain name to a subdomain within the account or to forward a domain address to another company and use some third-party service that they provide, it's not going to require more than 3 clicks to create this sort of record. All DNS records for the domains and subdomains hosted in the semi-dedicated account are going to be listed in a separate section in the Control Panel, so when you are there, all that you will have to do will be to pick the type of the record that you want to set up and the hostname for which you are creating it, and then type in the actual record text. For your benefit, you can watch a short video inside the Control Panel about how to create a CNAME record or you can follow the instructions in the help article, which is available in the DNS records section.
